News from the A.G.M.
After the recent increase in NFAS membership fees it was decided that club membership fees could and should remain the same, however target fees have had to go up to help pay for village hall hire etc. This increase is just 50p across the board and is implemented from the 1st of January '08.
The introduction of a minimal charge for our 'apprenticeship archer' period was also introduced at a one off payment of £5.00 for the six week period. This should also help us with our record keeping for those first few weeks of contact with any prospective new members.
Robin and Lynne have also been asked to look into the possibility of any grant funding for new equipment purchases, which should include replacing the club arrows as most of these are now so weak they bend far to easily.
A few comments were made about the fact that there was no Christmas meal this year. It was felt that as more and more of the day to day running of the club was falling to fewer and fewer people, anyone wishing to organise something for Christmas 2008 should contact a member of the committee for any help, advice or details needed.
The NFAS have
introduced a system of 'Proof of
Competence' before
someone can be issued
with full membership.

Remaining dates this season Are:- January 16th & 30th February 6th & 20th March 5th & 19th April 2nd, 16th, & 30th*
* this date may start the outdoor season weather and light depending
Do you qualify for full
NFAS Membership?
The NFAS have introduced a system of 'Proof of Competence' before someone can be issued with full membership, prior to this they will be issued a provisional membership granting the person all the rights of a full member, but they will not be allowed to shoot at open shoots.
To comply with this in the modern world Robin (the current club coaching coordinator) has decided to introduce a short and simple to follow course for all new beginners.
This is so he can fully comply with NFAS policies and, to assist him in record keeping of the level at which any archer under the system has reached.
The course is entitled 'Passport to Proficiency' and will be introduced from the beginning of January '08
Dog Kennel Wood
With our first shoot of the season approaching in the near future, and some of our regular workers away at the Scottish champs the week before all help in setting out the bosses and all the other jobs that need doing before a shoot would be gratefully received. Contact Joe or Robin for arrangements of work parties up at Market Rasen.
